The other day, I was searching for a distro to revive an old laptop of mine when I encountered a peculiar one.
Suicide Linux!
My curiosity peaked, so I started searching for it. Around 2009, this guy had an idea for a distro that any time you input a wrong command, this would resolve to rm -rf / and delete all your files. Can you imagine the chaos?
The funny thing is, another brave soul made that wild idea a reality! You can find the distro here, along with a video tutorial.
The notion behind it is to train the user to not make mistakes, and after trying it for a while, I must tell you, the imposter syndrome can kick in hard…

Regardless of that, it can be a nice game. Just remember to proceed with caution and keep your important files well away from it!
Here’s an idea if someone’s interested (that can easily be vibe coded). Create a game where the player has to write the most successful commands without fail (maybe also provide him/her with some prompts to keep it interesting like “copy file.txt from usr/bin to home”) and then a public leaderboard will be displaying the best players. That could be really fun!
Happy hacking!
